During this week and The following one, our school library is hosting an exhibition of the Lapbooks created by our 1st Year Baccalaureate students, based on their reading of “The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde.
As many of you will remember, we recently also enjoyed an Escape Room inspired by this novel.
Reading the book sparked our students’ curiosity and encouraged them to learn more about Oscar Wilde, his life, and his literary work.
This activity is part of our Integrated Languages Curriculum (CIL in our Bilingual project) as one of the initiatives developed to celebrate World Book Day.
Through the creation of these Lapbooks, our 1st Year Baccalaureate students have combined reading, research, creativity, and critical thinking while exploring Wilde’s masterpiece.
This morning, a group of students from 1st Bachillerato A visited the exhibition together with their English teacher, Pilar Torres.
We encourage everyone to come and visit the exhibition. You can do so during the break or by arranging a visit to the library with your Language teachers.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Last Tuesday, bilingual teaching coordinators were invited to the Provincial Bilingualism Conference at the Faculty of Education Sciences in Córdoba
It was attended by our school bilingual coordinator, Pilar Torres, and it provided a wonderful opportunity to reflect together on the achievements of this school year and identify areas for future improvement. It was also a valuable occasion to learn about inspiring eTwinning projects and share experiences with colleagues committed to bilingual education.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Bilingualism Coordinator of our Educational Delegation, Julia Gracia, for her support and guidance throughout the year.
We hope that next year will bring even more opportunities to exchange ideas, strategies, and best practices for bilingual teaching.
As the academic year comes to an end, it is time to complete our final report, evaluate our achievements, and set new goals for the coming year.
We also look forward to welcoming conversation assistants once again, if it is finally achieved, as their contribution is invaluable to the success of our bilingual programme.
A special thank you goes to our team of teachers involved in bilingual education for their dedication and hard work, from interdisciplinary projects to the preparation of the Debate Tournament, as well as for sharing outstanding bilingual practices at the International Congress on Bilingualism held last April, for attending the Plurilingual Fair and for promoting our school internationalisation process in Erasmus projects.
Thank you all for your commitment and enthusiasm.
We will continue working together to strengthen bilingual education, just as we always have.

After their graduation ceremony last night, these three students were standing at the school gates at 8:00 a.m. sharp this morning, waiting to say “Good morning” to their Philosophy teacher. 😂🥳
And people say bilingual education does not create lasting bonds! There they were, after a night of celebrating their graduation, eager to meet up with their bilingual teacher once again. 😅😅
It is wonderful to see that our school continues to be a special place for them and that they still enjoy coming back to share moments with us.
Good luck in everything that lies ahead, boys. We are very proud of you!
Today we celebrate World Environment Day, a date that is especially meaningful for our school, as the environment is the central theme of our interdisciplinary bilingual learning project. Moreover, it is directly linked to one of Our Erasmus projects’ objectives: Taking care of our Environment
You can already visit part of the exhibition displayed in our main corridor, where students’ work related to World Environment Day is being showcased. These projects bring together knowledge and skills from different subjects, including Physics and Chemistry, Geography and History, Music, English, and others. The exhibition will continue to grow over the coming days.
Don’t miss the displays on environmental disasters, the creative lapbooks exploring everyday objects and their environmental impact, projects on plastic consumption, musical instruments made from recycled materials, brochures about our patios and many more inspiring activities.
World Environment Day reminds us of the importance of raising awareness about the need to protect our planet. Caring for the environment means caring for ourselves, our communities, and future generations.
